Transit Services
The City of Grande Prairie provides transit services seven days a week to keep residents connected to our growing city, and include fixed route, on- demand, accessible transit and charter service.
Fixed Route
There are currently nine fixed transit routes that connects residents to different parts of the city, including the Eastlink Centre, Prairie Mall, Grande Prairie Regional Hospital and Northwestern Polytechnic. Learn more about the fixed routes through the Transit Rider's Guide.
On-Demand
On-Demand Transit offers a flexible and modern solution to connect our community, particularly in areas where it’s more efficient than fixed-route services. This service lets riders schedule their trips for quicker, more direct travel, with pick-ups at the nearest bus stop in their neighborhood.
Accessible Transit
Grande Prairie Accessible Transit (GPAT) is a flexible door-to-door transit service that supports people with permanent or temporary disabilities that prevents them from using fixed-route transit without assistance from another person. This service is available to all city and county residents who live within 5km of city limits.
Charter Service
The City of Grande Prairie offers a charter service which you can hire to transport your guests to a special event within the region of Grande Prairie. The charter buses can transport 37 passengers by seat and an additional 15 passengers standing.
Share your Input
To better understand residents needs, the City invites all transit and non-transit riders to share their feedback on transit services. Your input will help shape future improvements, optimize routes and enhance the overall transit experience for everyone in the community. Whether you use transit regularly or not, your perspective is valuable in creating a system that works for all!
