Get involved in Grande Prairie’s 2023 budget!

Now is your time to share your thoughts and feedback as the City prepares for the 2023 budget deliberations. Make a difference by utilizing the engagement tools to share new ideas, propose new budgets and provide any other feedback to help inform Council what you would like to see change in our community.

Our focus is to develop a budget that aligns with Council's new 2022-2025 Strategic Priorities:

  • Quality of Life
  • Innovative Economic Readiness
  • Inclusive Caring Community
  • Engaging Relationships

This engagement will help us determine what services and programs you prioritize and what is important to you. Get started by exploring the tools below, which include:

  • A survey that takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete
  • An idea space to share your answers to brainstorming questions
  • A Q&A space to ask administration questions about the budget and get live responses
  • Two Balancing Act tools to learn how the City’s operating and capital budgets are allocated and submit your own balanced budgets using an interactive budget calculator
  • An in-person engagement session

Public Input Session

The City of Grande Prairie and City Council invite all residents to our 2023 Budget Public Input Session! Take part in various engagement activities to share your feedback on City services most important to you and what you believe should be prioritized this next budget term. City staff will be on hand to answer questions related to different services areas and how our budget process works.

We are also giving away five Bonnetts Energy Centre gift cards through a random draw for those who attend the session and provide feedback. The gift cards can be used towards all ticket sales at Bonnetts Energy Centre.

The session takes place:

  • September 27, 2022
  • 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Centre 2000 (11330 106 St, Grande Prairie, AB T8V 7X9)

The Public Input Session is drop-in format and registration is not required.

Use our Balancing Act tools to learn more about the City’s operating and capital budgets and submit your own balanced budgets to help shape decision making for Budget 2023.

    Community involvement in this process is a priority for us, as responses help shape the City of Grande Prairie's 2023 Budget.

    The results from this survey are submitted to City Council for consideration during budget deliberations. 

    The survey should take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete. 

    Survey questions follow the same format as previous years to help us identify how public opinion and values are trending over time.

    Results are reported as a conglomerate. Participation is voluntary, and you can discontinue your participation at any time by exiting the survey.
