Make a difference in Grande Prairie's 2022 budget deliberations.

Now is your opportunity to share your ideas and feedback to inform the proposals being presented to Council as the City starts early work preparing for 2022 budget deliberations.

Over the past year, Grande Prairie, like the rest of the world, has faced great challenges and unknowns, requiring significant response, innovation and community support.

As we move forward, our focus is on prioritizing and stimulating our local economic recovery and supporting the community through re-openings.

We’ve created this engagement opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of the services and programs that you prioritize, to help shape where we invest your tax dollars to building a strong, vibrant and thriving community.

We encourage you to review the following documents to help inform your responses:

  • 2021 Budget Engagement- What We Heard Report
  • 2021 Budget Book (2021-2024 Capital and Operating Budget)
  • 2021 Tax Brochure
  • COVID-19 Response Timeline
  • COVID-19 Response Government Roles and Responsibilities

Participants are also advised to check out the Open Budget data portal to view all publicly available financial data for the City of Grande Prairie to explore more.

Welcome to the Budget 2022 Survey.

Community involvement in this process is a priority for us, as responses help shape the City of Grande Prairie's 2022 Budget for economic recovery and community support.

The results from this survey are submitted to City Council for consideration during budget deliberations.

The survey should take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete. It will be open for participation until September 30.

Survey questions follow the same format as previous years to help us identify how public opinion and values are trending over time.

Several questions also discuss our COVID-19 response. For more information on our response, visit cityofgp.com/covid19 or view our COVID 19 Response Timeline and Government Roles and Responsibilities document in the Document Library.

Results are reported as a conglomerate. Participation is voluntary, and you can discontinue your participation at any time by exiting the survey.
