Recreational Services By-law C-1403 - Pinnacle Ridge Water Feature Levy

Pinnacle Ridge residents are invited to provide their feedback regarding the $12.50 levy for the operation and maintenance of the front entrance water feature and fountain.

The Pinnacle Ridge Water Feature Levy will be discussed at the following meetings:

  • Operational Services Committee meeting on April 30
  • City Council meeting on May 6

Residents wishing to attend to speak as a delegate at the meeting, must contact Legislative Services at AgendaAdmin@cityofgp.com to submit their presentations via email. Residents wishing to attend the Council meeting must attend at the 3:00 p.m. session and can notify Legislate Services anytime before the start of the meeting.

Residents may submit feedback ahead of the meeting to the City by contacting:

  • Wade Nellis, Transportation Director, at wnellis@cityofgp.com
  • Legislative Services Department at AgendaAdmin@cityofgp.com or 780-357-7523

Background

This special recreational services levy was initiated in 2010 at the request of the Pinnacle Ridge Neighbourhood Association to keep the water features in the neighbourhood. The Neighbourhood Association received approximately 700 signatures in support of a special levy to maintain the feature.

As this is a special levy, it must be approved by Council every year as per the Alberta Municipal Government Act.
