Consultation has concluded
The City is conducting a Parking Study of the College Park neighbourhood as part of the development of an overall Parking Strategy for the area.
The study is assessing on-street parking to identify existing issues, examine potential impacts of future development and explore mitigation options.
The study involves analyzing data from a range of sources, including parking enforcement reports and field data.
The Parking Study is part of the implementation of the College Park Area Redevelopment Plan. During consultation for the plan, respondents indicated that their most prominent concern with potential redevelopment was the adequacy of on-street parking.
Participants also referred to some existing problem areas for on-street parking. As a result, the plan calls for a Parking Strategy that examines parking issues and directs how the City will address them. The Parking Study will form the basis for the strategy.
Survey
Residents who live in College Park neighbourhood or visit the area on a regular basis are encouraged to take the survey below and provide their feedback. The short survey asks respondents about existing parking conditions and their preferences for mitigation options.
Study Area
The Parking Study focuses on on-street parking within the College Park neighbourhood as shown on the map below. Impacts from the Northwestern Polytechnic campus are considered as part of the study, however it is not included within the study boundary, as it is private parking.
