Jumpstart Inclusive Playground

The City of Grande Prairie has partnered with Canadian Tire to create a Jumpstart inclusive playground at Lions Park. This exciting project will bring an accessible and inclusive place place into our community, ensuring all children can experience the joy of playing together.

The playground supports the city's commitment to:

• Removing Barriers to Participate in Public Spaces
• Building an Inclusive and Caring Community
• Creating Welcoming Spaces for All Residents

Community Engagement

The following groups were engaged during the process, receiving information about the playground accessibility standards and providing input on their hopes and expectations for the playground.

• Accessibility Committee
• Highland Park Neighbourhood Association

Construction of the playground is set to begin on July 7, 2025.
