How is the project being funded?
The Bike Skills Park at Crystal Lake is funded through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program: COVID-19 Resilience stream through the federal government.
How was the site selected?
The City of Grande Prairie announced the addition of a new Bike Skills Park in Crystal Lake Park as part of its efforts to create additional outdoor recreation amenities in the north sector of the city and encourage an active outdoor lifestyle in the community. The surrounding neighbourhoods were consulted to gather feedback on the final site selection.
How will the natural habitats in the area be impacted?
The project team is engaged with Alberta Environment throughout the project to understand the environmental values that will influence and shape the bike skills park design.
