The City of Grande Prairie recognizes the importance of an inclusive and caring community that includes all people and serves all people. Currently, 19.3% of Grande Prairie's population is aged 55 or older, which means prioritizing the well-being of the aging population is crucial to enhance their ability to age in place and remain in Grande Prairie.

To help build an inclusive and caring environment, the City is hosting open house sessions for residents ages 55 and older to identify and address service gaps through collaboration with stakeholders and older adults. Our vision is a community that embraces and serves everyone.

Open Houses

Participate in tabletop exercises, contribute to discussions, and share your valuable insights as we strive to create a healthier, more vibrant community for all. Your input is crucial, and together, we are shaping a future where everyone can age well.

These sessions will be guided by facilitators and participants will be split into small groups to share insights and ideas for building a more supportive and age-friendly environment. Each table will be designed with a unique question or activity to stimulate meaningful discussions.
